What areas of the state do I cover ?
I operate from Sandown New Hampshire and I work much of southeastern New Hampshire. Starting from as far north as the Manchester Area and including the areas as far east as Exeter and as far south as the Massachusetts border.
What process is used ?
I use a truck mounted hot water system. This is often referred to as steam cleaning. It is the method recommended by major carpet manufacturers. I first pre-spray the traffic areas with a biodegradable soap. Then through the use of specialized cleaning wands and hoses, very hot water is injected in to the carpet agitating and rinsing the carpet fibers. At the same time a strong vacuum sucks back the water, soap and dirt to a tank in the truck leaving a freshly cleaned carpet.
Do I give estimates ?
I do not make house calls for estimating a cleaning. This helps to keep costs down. I will gladly give an estimate over the telephone (603) 887-5454 and in general find that I can keep to the estimate. Commercial work is an exception and a site visit is necessary.
What should be done in preparation ?
All items on the carpeted areas to be cleaned should be removed and the carpet should be vacuumed carefully. Large items such as sofas and chairs need not be moved. I will move them or go under them when possible. Very large and heavy items such as; china cabinets, armoires, TVs's, beds...do not get moved. This is usually not necessary and generally impractical. These guidelines have proven over the years to be prudent and satisfactory.
When can I start ?
Appointments should be made one or two weeks in advance. If you need service sooner call me (603) 887-5454 and I will do my best to accommodate your needs. Don't hesitate to call. I often surprise people with ready availability.
Am I more or less expensive than the others ?
I am in almost all cases less expensive than the franchises. I keep a low overhead. I do this work because I enjoy the people I meet and the flexibility in lifestyle that it allows me. I do not try to find ways to extract money from my customers. I don't promise any more than the best possible results from my process and I value people above $$$$.
Oh yea!, Says who ?
My customers reinforce my statements continuously. I have been paid on several occasions, more than the amount I quoted ( hey, they insisted!). As I am writing this web page a customer dropped off a payment with a thank you card for saving her the cost of a new carpet in a property she is selling.
